Utah faces extraordinary wildfire conditions that have created some of the most dangerous fire behavior in state history. Governor Spencer J. Cox has issued an executive order (2026-04) that has allowed State Forrester Jamie Barns to place a temporary statewide fireworks restriction (for division 1.4G explosives/fireworks).
For current restrictions in Springville City, please see the following map.
RED zones: ALL fireworks of any kind are prohibited. This includes division 1.4G explosives/fireworks. In addition, novelty fireworks including sparklers, smoke bombs, snappers and any other possible spark emitting fireworks or anything that requires ignition force (meaning a lighter, match, or punk stick) are NOT permitted.
YELLOW zones: ALL division 1.4G explosives/fireworks are prohibited. However, novelty fireworks like sparklers and smoke bombs are permitted. If fireworks have a division 1.4G explosives indicated on any part of the item packaging, it is prohibited.
Division 1.4G explosives/fireworks are most all fireworks that are sold at fireworks stands and in large retailers. The only fireworks that are allowed in the YELLOW zones of the city are sparklers and smoke bombs.
If you have any questions concerning a “division” of fireworks, there will be a marking on the product (most likely in small print) that will state 1.4G. If you cannot find that marking and have additional questions, please talk to the individual who is selling the product.
Per state law, violators may be prosecuted to the full extent of the law ($1,000.00 fine).
We invite and encourage all Springville citizens to celebrate the 4th of July, our nation’s 250th birthday responsibly.
